World Conqueror 1945 offers a fresh take on strategy games with its backdrop set in World War II, reminiscent of the classic game of Risk. In this game, players engage in territorial competition for lands, cities, and oceans. They must gather resources, develop their economy and military, conquer enemy capitals, and dismantle their foes.

The key to success in the game lies in strategically deploying and managing three fundamental types of troops: soldiers, tanks, and artillery. Soldiers are high-yield but have a general attack capability, tanks possess high attack power and continue their action after destroying enemies, while artillery is effective against soldiers and tanks, as these units cannot strike back. The game's outstanding AI ensures that players must accurately assess the current situation at any given time.

Different countries have distinct attributes for their military forces. For instance, Germany's tanks are known for their superior power but come with a high price tag. The Soviet Union's artillery is exceptional, while Britain's navy reigns supreme.

As players engage in combat, their troops gain experience, eventually earning medals. Troops holding medals exhibit superior combat effectiveness compared to regular troops, effectively becoming Troop Aces.

In addition to troop management and battle tactics, players can utilize military cards to enhance their strategies:

Soldier Card: Produces soldier troops
Tank Card: Produces tank troops
Artillery Card: Produces artillery troops
Battleship Card: Takes actions at sea
Fortress Card: Provides improved defense but cannot move or attack for 3 rounds
Construction Card: Constructs territories, boosts taxes, and allows the drafting of army troops (higher levels grant greater privileges)
Airstrike Card: Air attacks the enemy in adjacent territories
General Card: Equips a general to enhance attacking power
Marshal Card: Equips a marshal to enhance defending power
Special Card: Exclusive to the United States, Germany, Soviet Union, Japan, Britain, France, and Italy. Can be used once every 7 rounds.

The game offers two modes: conquest mode and battle mode. In conquest mode, players select one nation among the 11 Axis and Allies powers to potentially alter the course of history and dominate the world. The remaining nations serve as allies, enemies, or neutral parties. Players can choose from three periods: the beginning (1940), middle (1942), or end (1944) of World War II.

In battle mode, players engage in ten pivotal battles that could reshape the world:

1942 Battle of Kursk
1944 D-Day in Normandy
1941 North African Campaign
